A GEO Content Strategy Built Around Answers

Plan against questions, then decide which deserve a page, a section or a FAQ entry. Most strategies fail by inventing new content where restructuring existing content would do.

Cluster by question, publish by intent

Group related prompts into one authoritative page rather than splitting them into thin posts. Boundaries come from intent: research, comparison or transaction deserve different pages.

  • One pillar page per theme, answering the head question first
  • Cluster pages for each distinct intent
  • FAQ blocks for long-tail phrasing

Make every passage independently useful

Assume each paragraph may be lifted alone. State the subject explicitly, avoid unresolved pronouns, and place the answer before the explanation.

  • Answer sentence first, evidence and nuance after
  • Explicit entity names instead of "it" and "this"
  • Definitions that survive being quoted out of context

Questions people ask about geo content strategy

How much content do we need?
Less than you think, but better organised. Covering a theme completely and consistently beats publishing dozens of overlapping short posts.
Should we write differently for AI?
Write for people, structure for machines. Clear first sentences, named entities and honest sourcing help both readers and retrieval systems.
How long until we see results?
Expect the first citation changes four to eight weeks after publication, with meaningful patterns after roughly a quarter of consistent work.
